Ive had this facial paralisis for 30yrs+ and its been a nightmare, As i write this im hoping to get refered to Charles Nduka very soon. I have had minor surgery done in East Grinstead in the 90s but not a lot, As im getting older my face deteriates more, I will never give up! Good luck and all the best eveyone. After all, even those of who think we really don't care what we look like will admit that perhaps an attack on our face - our window (or mirror) on the world - is not the way it was or the way we wanted it to be is something fundamental to our sense of self.<br />The other person I know who has had throat cancer over the last year did not suffer facial palsy but, even so, he lost a lot of weight and has struggled with getting back to normal fitness and strength. Happily, both his story and yours are so far proceeding along happier lines.<br />But I applaud you for taking up this cause - it's not easy when so much has changed - to be that person who is strong enough to answer press questions and so on.<br />May 4th be with you :-)womblehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10752601109703508042noreply@blogger.com
